I love to read! I reread The Giver by Lois Lowry and the rest of the books in the series: Gathering Blue and Messenger so that I could read her new book, Son the final book in the series. So far, I can't put the book down, it is so wonderful. I really like how Lois Lowry has made a connection to the original book, The Giver and the story has come full circle after it was first published in 1993 almost 20 years ago.
We are reading an amazing book during read aloud called, Because of Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea and it touched me deeply. I connected with Mr. Terupt because he is an amazing teacher and loves working with children. It was one of those books that you can't put down because you are so excited to see what will happen next.
I also just finished reading Call Me, Hope Gretchen Olson and LOVED it so much. I could not put it down and read it in little over a week. It made me think a lot about how our words affect people.
Please make a post of your TOP 3 BOOKS of all time! Make a list of the 3 books that you loved so much you wanted to read them again. List a book you wished there was more to the story so you could spend more time with the characters. In your post be sure to list the title and author of each book.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100% Emma! The Hunger Games needs at least one more book. It could be about the character's lives after. I do like how Suzanne Collins leaves you wondering what happens, but she needs to write just one more!
DeleteI would love an additional book.....possibly Katniss has a child who gets back into another set of games. It is one of the best series I've read, but it was a bit violent. I really liked the movie and hope the next one is just as good.
