I love to read! I just read The Land of Stories: The Wishing Well by Chris Colfer and fell in love with the interesting storyline. I am now on to the next book in the series: The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns and so far, I can't put the book down, it is so wonderful. I also reread The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate and have such deep affection for the main character Ivan. I think it is still one of the best books I've ever read.
I also am a big fan of picture books because they have so much to offer. My new favorite historical fiction is These Hands by Margaret H. Mason. It is an amazing story about African Americans who worked in the Wonder Bread factory in 1950s & 1960s and were not treated fairly. I also love, love, love The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt because it is hysterical. We just read Freedom on the Menu by Carole Boston Weatherford which is a powerful historical fiction story about the Greensboro Sit-ins.
Please make a post of your TOP 3 BOOKS of all time! Make a list of the 3 books that you loved so much you wanted to read them again. List a book you wished there was more to the story so you could spend more time with the characters. In your post be sure to list the title and author of each book.
My first favorite book would by far be Wonder because I like the drama and that the author gives each character a perspective of the story. My second favorite would be Out of my mind. But i do wish they would make a sequel to the book because they end at a spot where you want to keep reading. And my third Favorite is Inside Out and Back Again.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you Violet 100% Violet Wonder is a great book!!!
DeleteThe author of Wonder is R.J. Palacio Out of my Mind is by Sharon Draper and Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites has to be the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, because it is so interesting and hard to put down . Another series is the Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, the books are mostly about adventures. I also like The Unwanteds series by Lisa Mcmann, it is a very surprising book. Also the Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer, at first I thought it would be all about princesses but, it's also about adventure. And I love Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.
ReplyDelete1 I am that girl by Alexis Jones
ReplyDelete2 Percy Jackson 1
3 Percy Jackson 2
Both by Rick Riordan
I am that girl because it shows girls to be who they are and to knot worries about what they look like. And to knot bully other girls for what they look like on there out side. And Percy Jackson because its full of adventure and mystery. The second one because it always leaves you hanging when the chapter ends so you want to keep reading.
